BREAKING: SB 68 passes in Senate Judiciary

by

Page One just broke the news that SB 68 sneakily passed in the Senate Judiciary committee. And, if KY House Speaker Greg Stumbo doesn’t assign the bill to a committee where it will die, it will pass in the House and may be signed by Gov. Beshear.

We need YOUR help. You can contact the lawmakers in Frankfort directly or call them at 1 (800) 372-7181. If you want to reach Greg himself, here are his numbers (via Page One):

Home: (606) 886-9953
Annex: (502) 564-2363
Capitol: (502) 564-3363

Tell Greg how discriminatory this bill is and how devastating it will be for Kentucky families and the state’s foster care system. The bill will not only affect gay couples with children but EVERYONE who is unmarried (e.g., grandmothers raising their children’s children) and will add an unnecessary burden to KY’s troubled budget.

Please take action on this awful, unnecessary bill. We need as much support as possible before it’s too late.
