McConnell: Repeal DoMA protest, tomorrow 3:30-7 PM

It’s about time for DOMA to disappear. Who’s with me?

Don’t know what it is? Well, the age-old Defense of Marriage Act, which was signed by President Clinton 13 years ago, federally declared that marriages were only between a man and a woman, and, equally as important, that states didn’t have to recognize same-sex marriages. Since then, five states have allowed them, but many more have banned them via statute or amendment (KY bans any kind of same-sex union by amendment).

And guess who voted for it? Senator ‘Ditch Mitch’ McConnell.

There will be a protest tomorrow in conjunction with the University of Louisville’s School of Law graduation where McConnell will be present. The protest will take place outside out of respect for the graduates. For more details, please contact Curt Morrison or RSVP via the Facebook event.

Tomorrow, May 9th
3:30-7 PM

W.L. Lyons Brown Theater

    Thanks for posting!
If you were curious about the mindless dribble that McConnell said in his speech, here’s a link to the transcript…I’m surprised more graduates didn’t walk out early, lol:
